Job Summary


The MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) Sr. Specialist supports MEAL activities in regions across the globe through providing surge capacity through a period of organizational change. This includes MEAL capacity strengthening, indicator and instrument design, and capturing and disseminating learning. This role will lead various time-bound monitoring, evaluation and accountability to communities initiatives across regions in which Habitat for Humanity operates, under the direction of MEAL leaders across the globe

.
This is a three-year position and it can be located remotely in the U.S., Bratislava, Slovakia; San Jose, Costa Rica; Nairobi, Kenya; Manila, Philippine

Essential Duties and Responsibilit

ies
Surge Capacity: (

40%)• Provide virtual surge MEAL capacity during start ups, scale ups, transitions, or emergencies, stabilizing systems and supporting local MEAL te

ams.• Provide virtual MEAL support for existing programs, under the direction of regional MEAL lead

ers.• Operationalize MEAL policies and processes across regions; contribute to updates based on field feedback and evolving donor requireme

nts.• Translate global MEAL strategy into regional execution by aligning country and project MEAL plans with organization wide frameworks, standards, and quality benchma

rks.• Contribute to the development of project and program design and proposal develop

ment
Data Integrity:

(20%)• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of program data through regular quality checks and validation proce

sses.
Global MEAL support:

(30%)• Support the Global MEAL Team to deliver organizational MEAL prio

rities• Input into the creation and review of MEAL guidance, training materials, and too

lkits.• Support the design and delivery of global MEAL workshops and

events• Support the onboarding and mentoring of MEAL personnel as n

eeded.
Collaboration

: (10%)• Be an active member of the global MEAL team and HFHI MEAL

irements

Education• Bachelor's degree or equivalent e

xperience
Years of Related

Experience• 5 + years of experience of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning at project or pro

gram level
Knowledge, Skills an

d Abilities• Prior knowledge and experience with output and outcome measurement and development of tools and platforms to facilitate such

processes.• Prior knowledge and experience with setting up and running mechanism to ensure accountability to

communities• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analyti

cal skills.• Proficiency in communicating in a wide range of formats to differen

t audiences• Experience in designing and delivering (facilitating) MEAL related capacity strengthening

activities.• Comfortable working both independently and in team en

vironments.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate's qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $66,

390 to $78,100.
Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near an HFHI office location (Atlanta, Georgia / Americus, GA / Washington, D.C.), are required to report to the off

ice on Tuesdays.
