Senior Specialist, Applications Development

Job Description

The Senior Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Python, FastAPI, and React. This role combines new feature development with ongoing application support, including troubleshooting production issues, resolving support tickets, implementing enhancements, and ensuring application reliability, performance, and availability. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing project delivery with day-to-day maintenance while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, software engineers and cross-functional teams.

As we are global company, there are times when there is a need to collaborate with colleagues in other time zones, so occasional meetings outside of typical working hours can occur.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications, APIs, and microservices using Python, FastAPI, and React.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions while ensuring application reliability and supportability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, defects, and support tickets; perform root cause analysis and implement enhancements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs.
• Contribute to application architecture, technical design, and technology decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable code and implement automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and security, proactively addressing issues and optimization opportunities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in software development, application maintenance, and production support.
• Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and REST APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or other relational databases.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues, incident management, root cause analysis, and application support.
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance new feature development with ongoing maintenance and support of business-critical applications.
