Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to design and guide the delivery of scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective enterprise technology solutions. The successful candidate will translate business requirements into practical architecture designs, evaluate technology options, and provide technical direction across complex projects and enterprise environments.

This role requires a strong hands-on technical foundation, broad engineering knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, security, product, and business teams. The ideal candidate can balance business priorities with technical feasibility, operational supportability, security, cost, and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate business requirements and enterprise standards into solution architectures, technical designs, and implementation guidance.
- Lead architecture discussions and establish technical direction for strategic initiatives and complex technology projects.
- Evaluate technology options, assess trade-offs, and recommend solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.
- Design scalable, secure, resilient, maintainable, and cost-effective technology solutions.
- Develop target-state architectures, transition strategies, technical roadmaps, and implementation plans.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, technical debt, and operational challenges throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Lead solution discovery sessions, architecture reviews, technical assessments, proof-of-concept activities, and design workshops.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, operations, security, product, enterprise architecture, and business stakeholders.
- Guide engineering and delivery teams through planning, design, implementation, and operational readiness.
- Document architecture decisions, design rationale, recommendations, risks, and technical trade-offs.
- Ensure solutions consider security, identity management, resiliency, monitoring, incident management, and ongoing operational support.
- Promote automation, standardization, simplification, reusable components, and continuous improvement.
- Work within Agile, SAFe, DevOps, or similar delivery environments to support successful project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

- At least 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, automation, database engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience designing, leading, or guiding enterprise technology solutions in complex environments.
- Strong hands-on technical experience supporting architecture decisions and engaging effectively with engineering teams.
- Experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions and implementation plans.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions, influence stakeholders, and guide cross-functional teams.
- Experience evaluating architecture alternatives, managing trade-offs, and recommending appropriate technology solutions.
- Understanding of production environments, operational supportability, resilience, monitoring, incident management, and lifecycle management.
- Experience identifying and managing technical, operational, delivery, and organizational risks.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical Skills and Competencies

Candidates should have relevant experience in several of the following areas:

- **Cloud and infrastructure:** Cloud platforms, enterprise infrastructure, platform services, and modern technology environments.
- **Software engineering and automation:** Programming or scripting using Python, PowerShell, Go, C, or comparable languages.
- **DevOps and CI/CD:** GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar engineering and delivery platforms.
- **Systems integration:** REST APIs, system integrations, workflow automation, JSON, YAML, or equivalent technologies.
- **Architecture and governance:** Solution design, architecture documentation, design reviews, technology assessment, and architecture decision-making.
- **Security and operations:** Security principles, identity management, resilience, observability, monitoring, operational readiness, and supportability.
- **Delivery methodologies:** Agile, SAFe, DevOps, or comparable software and technology delivery practices.

Equivalent technologies and transferable technical experience will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to learn new platforms and business domains quickly.
