We are looking for a Senior Software QA Engineer who can take ownership of software quality assurance, work closely with developers and business stakeholders, and help ensure that our systems are reliable, functional, and ready for successful implementation.

This role goes beyond software testing. You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and reviewing system designs to coordinating testing, supporting implementation, and ensuring that solutions meet the needs of our users.

What You'll Be Doing

Software Quality Assurance & Testing

• Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and testing plans based on business and system requirements.
• Identify, document, and track system defects while working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Validate system functionality, reliability, and readiness before implementation.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that delivered solutions meet agreed requirements.

Systems Analysis & Documentation

• Collaborate with business users, project requestors, and IT teams to gather and clarify system requirements.
• Participate in systems analysis, process mapping, and solution design discussions.
• Prepare system mock-ups, process flowcharts, functional documentation, and user guides.
• Translate business requirements into clear testing and implementation requirements.

Project Coordination & Implementation

• Coordinate project activities, testing schedules, deliverables, and implementation timelines.
• Work closely with developers, technical support, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Facilitate system demonstrations, user training, and rollout activities.
• Provide post-implementation support and evaluate opportunities for system improvements.

Team Collaboration & Guidance

• Help oversee and coordinate QA activities and task assignments involving junior QA team members.
• Provide guidance on testing practices, documentation, and quality standards.
• Work closely with the Head of IT to maintain project visibility and ensure quality deliverables.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in software testing, requirements gathering, and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
• Experience preparing test cases, documenting defects, and supporting software testing activities.
• Familiarity with process flowcharting, systems analysis, and functional documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willing to work onsite at our Head Office in Quezon City.

An Advantage, But Not Required

• Knowledge of SQL scripting or basic programming concepts.
• Experience working with SAP or other enterprise systems.
• Experience coordinating software projects or guiding junior QA team members.
