The Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of enterprise applications through comprehensive testing, automation, and quality assurance practices. Working closely with product, engineering, and business teams, the role supports end-to-end testing activities, drives quality outcomes, and provides actionable insights to support successful project delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, or Quality Engineering.
- Strong experience in test planning, test case development, test execution, and defect management.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and automation of test execution, data validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Hands-on experience testing web-based applications using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
- Experience testing backend services and APIs built on technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, quality assurance best practices, and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL, with the ability to write and execute basic to intermediate queries.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills; experience within Financial Services or Banking is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review business and technical requirements, design documents, and solution specifications to identify test requirements, risks, and gaps.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and other testing deliverables.
- Execute and automate functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and data validation testing.
- Conduct data migration reconciliation, validation, and comparison activities using appropriate testing tools.
- Prepare and manage test environments, including user roles, permissions, and test data setup.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating test execution, defect management, and issue resolution.
- Track, analyze, and report testing progress, defects, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Review and validate test execution results, ensuring defects are documented and resolved appropriately.
- Support CI/CD quality gates, test automation initiatives, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
