Senior Software Engineering Manager

Role Summary

We are hiring a Sr. Mgr. Software Engineering to own the ongoing operational success of the Network AIOps platform. This is a post-implementation platform ownership role focused on administration, tuning, dashboard support, signal quality, governance, production support coordination, and vendor engagement.

The person in this role will partner closely with NetOps, network service level owners (SLOs), the SelectorAI NOC, and engineering teams in the US and India to ensure the platform remains effective, trusted, and operationally valuable. This is not a pure software development role; it is a technical platform leadership role centered on operations, optimization, and cross-functional execution.

Must-Haves

Candidates should have most or all of the following:

• 15+ years in software engineering, platform operations, observability, incident/event management, or related operational technology domains
• 5+ years in a senior technical role such as Lead, Staff, Principal, or equivalent
• Experience owning a business-critical enterprise platform in production
• Experience operating a vendor-delivered platform after implementation

Background in one or more of the following:

• AIOps
• Observability
• Event intelligence / event correlation
• Incident management
• Operational intelligence

Experience improving signal quality, reducing alert or event noise, and improving triage/investigation workflows

Experience working directly with stakeholders / end users to intake requests, prioritize work, and improve platform effectiveness

Experience with vendor management / vendor partnership for support issues, releases, and enhancements

Experience in a globally distributed environment with cross-time-zone coordination

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical business leaders

Proven ability to lead through influence without direct authority

• Direct experience with SelectorAI
• Experience supporting NetOps, NOC, service assurance, or network operations
• Background in network engineering, network observability, telecom, or infrastructure operations
• Experience in a follow-the-sun support model
• Experience coordinating with teams in the US and India
• Familiarity with network telemetry and monitoring ecosystems

Experience with:

• dashboard administration

• KPI development
• Hands-on familiarity with tools such as:
• APIs
• JSON
• Python
• PromQL
• scripting for administration or reporting

Experience preparing updates for leadership or executive audiences
