Senior Software Engineer

Role Description We are looking for a Software Engineer who can develop and maintain the software components of our AI system and is able to execute independently and make good engineering decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend and frontend software components
• Build and manage APIs and integration points
• Ensure the software is functional, reliable, and maintainable
• Collaborate with other team members to integrate AI models
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Provide technical leadership by making sound architecture and design decisions
• Mentor and guide developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Drive best practices in code quality, scalability, and system design
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and identify risks, trade-offs, and improvements
• Support and contribute to agile development processes with an engineering perspective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in software development (backend and/or frontend)
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Knowledge of software development best practices
• Experience with API development and integration (e.g., REST, GraphQL)
• Experience making architectural or system design decisions in real-world projects
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong understanding of agile development practices and working within cross-functional teams
• Ability to balance technical excellence with delivery timelines and business needs
• Clear communication skills and confidence in explaining technical decisions and trade-offs
• Track record of owning features or systems end-to-end, from technical design to deployment
