Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior IBM Sterling OMS Developer/Lead with extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-scale Order Management solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in IBM Sterling OMS architecture, customization, integrations, and production support, while providing technical leadership to development teams and driving solution design for complex retail and eCommerce ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of IBM Sterling OMS solutions across order capture, fulfillment, sourcing, inventory, and returns management.

Drive end-to-end solution architecture discussions and provide technical guidance to project teams.

Design and develop complex Sterling customizations including APIs, Services, User Exits, Agents, Pipelines, Transactions, and Events.

Architect integrations with eCommerce platforms, ERP, WMS, CRM, Payment Gateways, and third-party logistics providers.

Perform code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor junior developers.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Lead production support activities, incident management, root cause analysis, and performance optimization initiatives.

Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, product owners, and offshore/onshore teams.

Ensure adherence to best practices for security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Support deployment activities and CI/CD implementation across environments.

Required Technical Skills

8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on IBM Sterling OMS development experience.

Strong expertise in:

IBM Sterling OMS Architecture

Order Management & Fulfillment Processes

Inventory Management & Sourcing

Store Fulfillment & Returns Management

Extensive experience with:

Sterling APIs

Strong programming experience in:

Java/J2EE

Spring Framework

XML, XSLT, XPATH

REST & SOAP Web Services
