Position Description
Join a collaborative financial services engineering team as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, with primary responsibility for modern Angular user experiences and supporting ownership of secure, scalable Java services. The role provides hands on opportunities to build reusable components, REST APIs, and batch applications using current technologies, with an expected allocation of approximately 60% front end and 40% back end development
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive user interfaces using Angular 21, TypeScript, HTML, and the SLDS/SCSS framework, representing approximately 60% of the role.
- Develop secure and scalable back end services and batch applications using Java 21, Spring Boot 4, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Spring MVC, representing approximately 40% of the role.
- Design and implement REST APIs and integrate applications with Oracle Database using SQL.
- Build and maintain reusable UI components, shared custom libraries, and common application capabilities.
- Create unit tests using JUnit and Mockito and support Selenium based automated testing when applicable.
- Manage application builds and source code using Maven and Git, and participate in code reviews and continuous improvement activities.
- Apply secure coding standards, engineering best practices, and effective troubleshooting to deliver reliable, maintainable software.
- Use AI based coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, responsibly to improve development efficiency while validating generated code against team standards.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, quality, and business partners in an Agile delivery environment and document designs, integrations, and support procedures.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of front end development experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and SCSS, including strong hands on experience with modern Angular development and UI design systems such as SLDS.
- 4+ years of Java development experience, including hands on work with Java 21 and Spring Boot 4.
- Strong experience with Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Spring MVC, and Maven.
- Demonstrated experience developing REST APIs and batch applications.
- Experience designing and maintaining reusable components and custom application libraries.
- Experience with Oracle Database and the ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
- Experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Strong working knowledge of Git and modern software development workflows.
- Experience applying secure coding practices, clean code principles, design patterns, code reviews, and maintainability standards.
- Practical experience using AI based coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, as part of a controlled software development process.
- Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment.
