CORE PROFILE
This Software Engineering Senior will be part of the IAU team and is considered an expert on their respective technical and functional domains as a front-end software engineer specialist.
The candidate must have necessary skillsets needed to deliver secure, robust and high performing front-end/user facing applications consistent with the high expectations of the company's brand and our users.
NATURE OF WORK
- Works with product owners and tech teams to refine requirements and break requests to manageable size with clear acceptance criteria
- Designs and develops system features based on technical, functional and non-functional requirements
- Investigates and fixes reported bugs / issues
- Communicates progress, blocking issues and escalates as appropriate
- Continuous improvement on technology skills, and products/platforms knowledge to support business direction and improve operational efficiency
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or College Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering or any related course
- Expertise delivering mobile applications using Flutter (must have)
- Practical experience working with of at least one other native mobile SDK (Android or IOS)
- Experience working with the IDEs, tools and libraries for modern mobile apps development and deployment
- Delivering web applications and knowledge of web frameworks tools and technologies and related standards, protocols and practices
- Understanding of software design principles and patterns applicable for front-end applications (e.g., OOP, SOLID MVC,MVVM)
- Experienced designing solutions and addressing concerns associated with front-end/user facing applications (robust error handling, security, performance, user experience)
- Experience integrating with systems using a variety of protocols and standards (e.g., HTTP/REST, event driven, GraphQL)
- Delivering software under agile / scrum methodologies
Nice to Have:
- Backend / API development experience (nice to have)
- Experience working with SQL/NOSQL databases and good data design practices (nice to have)
