Role Purpose

The main purpose of the Senior Software Developer/Engineer is to support the Product Strategy and Innovation

team to build out the next generation of our Emite analytics platform. The role will be responsible for being a hands-on platform builder, who will develop scalable modern data platforms.

The role will combine the art of design with the science of programming and coding.

Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.

The role must be able to write clean and scalable code and the incumbent must be able to problem solve, create innovative new solutions, break down traditional barriers, and help coach the existing team to expand their abilities.

The role will work as part of a global team.

Responsibilities:

• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Create and maintain software documentation.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Understand the need for a strong security posture in everything we do.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to the back-end.
• Working with the Product management team to align with our strategy.
• Contributing to the agile culture.
• Helping to develop other software developers/members and the overall capabilities of the team.
• Participating in up-skilling and development opportunities to remain competitive.
• Ensure top-quality design reviews attain business goals.
• Perform all administration tasks and requirements.
• Meet the minimum requirements of the role, including daily code expectations and mandatory KPIs.
• Other duties as directed by the Emite Platform Development Manager and/or Management.

Requirements

• A portfolio that demonstrates skills in Angular, React, or Blazor proficiency and understanding of SOLID design principles.
• You have 5+ years of senior front-end development experience in a production setting.
• You are not afraid of new technology, and you don't let a tech stack define you - tools are what you make of them.
• You care about the business implications of the things you build. You understand trade-offs between craft, speed, and bottom line.
• Good understanding and knowledge of Agile Scrum.
• Ability to impart knowledge to other developers and to help train others as required.
• You have a solid understanding of responsive web/mobile frameworks.
• You can create innovative customer experiences that differentiate our platform.

This position will be offered on a full-time permanent basis.
