Service Communications Team (LSEG)

Overview

The Service Communications Team (SCT) at LSEG is tasked with facilitating and producing real-time incident communications for key service issues affecting LSEG customers. High-quality communication during incidents is a core service differentiator, and the team ensures that all customer communications are timely, clear, and informative regarding incidents, impacts, and recovery actions. The team has a global remit and manages multiple communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Duties: Manage day-to-day operations, including escalation handling, timely service alerts, and drafting customer statements.
  • Service Level Management: Lead self to ensure daily service level agreements are met.
  • Ownership: Responsible for the creation, distribution, and closure of all customer service communications related to incidents, maintenance, and information alerts.
  • Facilitation: Coordinate communications between technical operations, content operations, and customer/business teams during service-impacting incidents.
  • Expertise: Act as the alerting expert during major incidents.
  • Authoring: Write and publish high-quality customer statements and incident reports.

Work Pattern

  • Shifts: Rotational, with 24/7 global coverage. Weekend shifts are rotated among team members.
  • Business Continuity: All team members, including management, must support business continuity and disaster recovery plans, which may require extended or unsocial hours.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience in communications.
  • 8+ years total work experience, with at least 4+ years in communications.
  • Experience in editing, publishing, and authoring is a plus.
