Senior Security Architect – Network

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Architect – Network to design, document, and support the implementation of secure infrastructure and security solutions across the organization.

The role will work closely with global and local architecture teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, and application stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical and security requirements. The position will also support security hardening, remediation of security controls, and centralized log forwarding across multiple technology platforms.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and document security and infrastructure solutions based on agreed technical and business requirements.
• Review proposed solutions with global and local architecture teams to ensure alignment with established architecture and security requirements.
• Collaborate with multiple infrastructure, security, and application teams to implement agreed solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during implementation and address technical issues that may arise.
• Support security hardening initiatives across applicable infrastructure platforms.
• Implement remediation activities to address identified gaps against company security controls.
• Design and implement log forwarding solutions using Syslog-ng and/or NXLog across multiple platforms, including:
• Windows
• Unix
• Databases
• Network infrastructure
• Work across different technology layers, including operating systems, middleware, databases, and network environments.
• Utilize scripting technologies such as PowerShell and VBScript to support implementation, configuration, or operational requirements.
• Coordinate with technical stakeholders to ensure security solutions are properly implemented and documented.

Job Requirements

Required Experience

• 10+ years of IT experience, preferably within a multinational in-house environment or the IT industry.
• Strong hands-on experience in IT operations and/or development.
• Experience in security architecture, infrastructure security, or network/security solution implementation.
• Hands-on experience implementing log forwarding using:
• Syslog-ng
• NXLog
• Experience supporting log forwarding across Windows, Unix, database, and network platforms.
• Good understanding of operating system platforms and infrastructure technologies.
• Understanding of middleware technologies, particularly:
• IBM WebSphere
• Oracle WebLogic
• Understanding of database technologies and their integration within enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Good knowledge and practical experience with:
• PowerShell
• VBScript
• Experience working with multiple technical teams and stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting, and solution coordination skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Qualys, particularly in vulnerability management or security remediation activities.
• Experience with Power BI for reporting and dashboards.
• Exposure to GRC tools or other governance, risk, and compliance platforms.
