We are seeking a dedicated Senior Secondary Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop high quality designs for secondary systems for Transmission and Distribution substations and associated power system equipment, guided by the Principal Engineer. Developed secondary systems for Renewable Energy projects. Assists with factory and site testing and commissioning of secondary systems where required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ENGINEERING
- Undertake engineering, technical analysis, and report generation tasks as required.
- Ensure technical / engineering designs are compliant with standards and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with company / client Quality Policies and Procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of tenders.
- Assist with project management as required.
- Detailed substation secondary systems design, specification, documentation, and reports as required.
- Assistance with commissioning HV Secondary Systems as required.
- Create appropriate technical documentation as required; FAT testing as required; assistance with maintenance and faulty finding of installations, carry out systems studies and power systems analyses as required; pre-commissioning and commissioning of new and refurbished equipment and systems where required.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
- Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered / Professional Engineer and RFEQ (ideal).
- 8+ years experience at a senior level with substation design and/or utility grid connections.
- Turnkey project expertise in transmission and distribution substation design from concept to commissioning including knowledge of industry and different client standards.
- Significant experience in substation design.
- Good knowledge of different Secondary and Protection products and communications protocols as typically used on substation and renewable energy projects.
- Ability to configure and fault-find different Secondary and Protection hardware and platforms.
- ISO900/ QA processes and procedures, and AS standards.
- Proven experience in preparing tenders.
