Job Description
Salesforce Developer & Administrator
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
US Time Zone Overlap: At least 4 hours with US Pacific/Central Time
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer & Administrator to take ownership of our Salesforce environment and help establish it as the single source of truth for sales and borrower relationships.
Our sales and borrower data is managed in Salesforce, while loan information is maintained in a separate system, with HubSpot supporting our marketing operations. As our CRM has grown, we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the platform, improve data quality, strengthen system integrations, and build reliable automation.
This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable with Salesforce development, administration, data management, and integrations and can work independently with a US-based Product Owner.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Data & CRM Management
- Consolidate, clean, and deduplicate Leads, Contacts, and Accounts.
- Implement and optimize Salesforce duplicate and matching rules.
- Review and improve Lead conversion processes to prevent duplicate records.
- Establish a consistent Contact ID across Salesforce, Airtable (loan system), and HubSpot.
- Maintain Salesforce as the primary source of truth for contact and relationship data.
Integrations & Data Synchronization
- Build and maintain two-way integrations between Salesforce, Airtable, and HubSpot.
- Synchronize contacts, loan parties, and loan statuses across systems.
- Restore and maintain the HubSpot–Salesforce integration.
- Develop automated daily data-mismatch checks between Salesforce and the loan system, including alerts and exception handling.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure data remains accurate and synchronized.
Salesforce Development & Automation
- Build and maintain sales automation using Salesforce Flow and Apex.
- Develop triggers, custom logic, and integrations based on evolving business requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Continuously improve workflows and processes to support the sales team
Deployment & Development Practices
- Establish and maintain a reliable Salesforce release and deployment process.
- Use Git/SFDX and a sandbox-to-production deployment workflow.
- Maintain appropriate test coverage and ensure automated tests run as part of deployments.
- Follow development best practices for version control, testing, documentation, and release management.
Salesforce Administration
- Manage Salesforce users, roles, permissions, profiles, and access.
- Configure record types, workflows, and platform settings.
- Manage and support third-party managed packages, including DocuSign, Formstack, and Revenue.io.
- Provide day-to-day Salesforce administration and technical support.
Requirements
Must Have
- 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and administration experience.
- Strong experience with:
- Apex
- Triggers
- Salesforce Flow
- SOQL
- Proven experience with data cleansing, deduplication, and migration at scale, including tens of thousands of records.
- Experience building and maintaining integrations using REST APIs and/or Salesforce Bulk API.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with platforms such as Airtable, HubSpot, or similar systems.
- Experience with SFDX and/or Git-based Salesforce deployment workflows.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce testing and deployment requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate directly with a US-based Product Owner.
- Willingness to work with at least 4 hours of overlap with US Pacific/Central Time.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with financial services, lending, mortgage, or similar industries.
- Experience working with Snowflake or other data warehouse platforms.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certification.
- Salesforce Administrator certification.
- Experience working with complex multi-system CRM environments.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the Salesforce ecosystem, not simply complete tickets.
The successful candidate will be comfortable identifying data and process issues, recommending solutions, implementing improvements, and maintaining the platform over the long term. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
