Responsible for managing the full steel trading processfrom handling customer
inquiries and sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring smooth
delivery and payment. The role also includes leading a small sales team and driving
new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inquiries from existing and potential customers
- Source steel products by coordinating with Japan HQ and overseas suppliers
- Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close deals
- Manage end-to-end trade execution, including:
L/C processing
Production and shipment monitoring
Shipping documentation
- Coordinate with banks, shipping agents, and port authorities
- Ensure timely delivery and payment completion
- Identify new business opportunities and grow client base
- Supervise and support two (2) sales staff
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- At least 35 years experience in steel trading or related industry
- Strong knowledge of:
Steel products and distribution
Import/export processes
Shipping and logistics
Letter of Credit (L/C) transactions
- Experience working with international suppliers is an advantage
