Job Summary: The Senior Risk Officer-Wholesale Commercial Banking Risk assesses quality of individual credits and/or the aggregate portfolio, including the appropriateness of credit risk ratings, loan classifications and adequacy of allowance for loan losses, trends, and identifying problems (such as risk concentration, risk migration, deficiencies in credit initiation, documentation and monitoring processes). Ensures that credit review of the various lending portfolios (Corporate/ Commercial/Consumer) are performed according to the rules set forth by the bank and the BSP. Aids in the overall loan loss reserve management, for a more of loan loss reserve provisions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assesses quality of individual credits and/or the aggregate portfolio, including the appropriateness of credit risk ratings, loan classifications and adequacy of allowance for loan losses;
- Aids in the overall loan loss reserve management, for a more efficient allocation of loan loss reserve provisions, by:
- a. Closer monitoring of wholesale and retail portfolios and
- b. Evaluating / endorsing RM/AOs recommendations and actions for loan accounts credit re-classification
- Compiles and safe keeps credit review reports, and all relevant schedules, for external and internal audit purposes
- Assists in the preparation of reports as required by management, and external reportorial requirements, as needed
- Gather and analyze data on macroeconomic indicators and sovereign financial performance.
- Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or any related field is required
- Understanding of economic theory, policy, and cross-border financial markets.
- Proficiency in RStudio, Python, as well as experience with statistical modeling techniques, is a plus.
