Senior Revenue & Project Accountant | Hybrid

Terabase Energy is hiring a Senior Revenue & Project Accountant to own revenue recognition across multiple product and service lines, spanning both project-based construction/EPC revenue and SaaS/software revenue. You'll apply ASC 606 across complex, multi-element contracts, lead the monthly and quarterly revenue close, and be the accounting team's go-to expert on revenue as Terabase scales.

This is an early-to-mid career opportunity for someone ready to take on people-management responsibility. The role reports to the VP of Accounting & Finance and combines hands-on technical accounting with managing a small team of project accountants.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Recognition & Technical Accounting

• Own month-end and quarter-end revenue close across all product and service lines
• Apply ASC 606 across a range of arrangement types — percentage-of-completion, milestone billing, change orders, subscription, usage-based, and multi-element contracts — including performance obligation identification, standalone selling price allocation, and variable consideration
• Monitor long-term project progress, milestone completions, and cost-to-completion metrics to accurately calculate revenue and manage unbilled/deferred balances
• Lead revenue and deferred revenue close activities, including journal entries, contract asset reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare and maintain revenue recognition memos, contract abstracts, and supporting schedules for audit
• Partner with FP&A, Sales, and Project Delivery on revenue forecasting
• Maintain and improve revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Serve as the primary point of contact for revenue-related external audit requests

People Management

• Manage and develop a small team of project accountants
• Review the team's work for technical accuracy and set priorities during close
• Help build documented processes and training as the team and company scale

Systems & Process Improvement

• Identify and drive automation opportunities in the revenue close process — including WIP and percentage-of-completion calculations — across ERP and billing systems
• Partner with Accounting and Finance leadership on system implementations or upgrades touching revenue

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with direct exposure to project-based revenue or contract accounting
• Hands-on experience with construction/EPC or project-based revenue accounting (percentage-of-completion, milestone billing, change orders)
• At least 2 years of team lead or supervisory experience. Candidates who have supervised a small team may also be considered for endorsement.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and ASC 606.
• NetSuite experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and comfort operating in a fast-growing, still-scaling environment

Work Setup:

• Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days work from home)
• Location: Axis Tower, Alabang
• Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00 AM start time
