Position Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Revenue Analyst who combines strong technical and analytical skills. In this role, you will analyze large datasets to uncover insights that drive revenue growth, optimize pricing strategies, improve booking conversion, and protect profitability across a global ground transportation business.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and other cross-functional teams to investigate business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations. You will use SQL and Python to independently query, clean, analyze, and model data to support pricing decisions and business strategies.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, working hands-on with raw data, and taking ownership of analytical initiatives that deliver measurable commercial results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analyze large datasets across revenue, pricing, bookings, supplier costs, and operational performance to identify trends, business opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and optimize pricing strategies across partners, regions, routes, vehicle types, suppliers, cities, airports, and service zones.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including request-to-booking conversion and margin per ride, and recommend strategies to improve business performance.
• Independently query, clean, transform, and model large datasets using advanced SQL and Python to investigate business problems and generate actionable insights.
• Identify factors affecting booking conversion, revenue, and profitability, and work with relevant teams to develop and implement effective solutions.
• Evaluate selling prices against supplier costs and market benchmarks to identify pricing discrepancies, margin risks, outdated rates, and opportunities to improve profitability.
• Analyze supplier coverage and availability to identify network gaps, assess their impact on booking conversion, and support Supply initiatives to address these gaps.
• Develop analytical models, reports, dashboards, and performance monitoring tools to support data-driven decision-making.
• Design and evaluate pricing experiments, including A/B tests, to measure the impact of pricing changes and other business initiatives.
• Apply statistical methods and analytical techniques to validate findings, evaluate business hypotheses, and support evidence-based recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to translate pricing strategies and analytical insights into automated pricing rules and system improvements.
• Work closely with Commercial, Operations, Supply, and other stakeholders to investigate business performance, validate findings, and implement recommendations.
• Provide data-driven insights and cost analysis to support supplier negotiations and identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.
• Present complex analytical findings in a clear and practical manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including international teams.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, analytical methodologies, and revenue optimization strategies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years+ of relevant professional experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, revenue optimization, conversion optimization, or a similar analytical role.
• Advanced hands-on experience with SQL, including complex joins, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), window functions, and querying large datasets.
• Experience using Python for data analysis, statistical analysis, and modelling.
• Proven ability to independently perform end-to-end data analysis, from data extraction and cleaning to modelling, interpretation, and recommendations, without relying heavily on data engineering or business intelligence teams.
• Experience with dynamic or automated pricing in a marketplace, digital platform, or high-volume business environment.
• Strong understanding of pricing strategy, revenue optimization, profitability, margin analysis, and commercial performance.
• Experience owning business KPIs, tracking performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing initiatives that deliver measurable results.
• Solid knowledge of statistics and experiment design, including the ability to design or evaluate A/B tests and measure the impact of business changes.
• Experience collaborating with engineers or technical teams to translate analytical findings and pricing strategies into business rules, algorithms, or automated solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex business problems and develop practical, data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings and business implications to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in travel, mobility, transportation, logistics, aviation, hospitality, assistance services, or B2B services is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, or similar data warehousing and business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.
