Job Summary: The Senior Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, automating, governing and maintaining complex data reports, dashboards, and forecasting models using tools like Excel, VBA, Google Sheets, and Google Apps Script that support various business functions. This role ensures the timely delivery of accurate and actionable insights by transforming raw data into meaningful visualizations and performance metrics. The Senior Reporting Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs, automate workflows, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is expected to provide guidance, support, and training to junior analysts and other stakeholders on reporting systems and data interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:- Build, automate, optimize and maintain complex reports, dashboards and forecasting models using all available tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, VBA and Google Apps Script across the whole organization.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting tools.
- Designs scalable solutions and improves reporting workflows.
- Analyze data to identify performance trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provides strategic insights and champion data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and maintain documentation for reporting processes and data definitions.
- Support ad hoc data requests and provide insights for operational and strategic decisions
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure stakeholders have access to relevant dashboards, data packs, and performance insights.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to junior analysts and other stakeholders on reporting, dashboards, forecasting models, data interpretation.
Qualifications:- 3-5+ years of experience in reporting and analytics or held reporting analyst or BI roles
- Bacheloru0027s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead reporting projects independently.
- Hands-on experience in a reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence role.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets), programming (Google Apps Script, VBA), and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience in developing automated reports and dashboard that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Has knowledge of basic forecasting techniques and trend analysis or experience in building forecasting models
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored report solutions.
- Familiar with data governance, quality assurance, and documentation best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for guiding and coaching team member
