The Senior Remedial Officer will manage the collection/recovery of the team's loan portfolio not limited on the following:
- Account assignment/distribution, and propose team and individual performance targets;
- Review account proposals for Committee's approval and monitoring of timely documentation, and implementation of approved proposals;
- Negotiate and handle big ticket/special handling of accounts to expedite resolution;
- Recommend and implement portfolio remedial/exit strategies to maximize recovery and minimize probable losses for the bank.
- Recommend updating of team's operating manual/credit/risk policies to ensure it is aligned to team's strategies, and BSP's regulations; and
- Serve as RMG's point person for the following:
6.1. Internal (i.e. Compliance, Internal Audit), and external Audit (i.e. BSP, Bank's External Auditor) on walkthroughs, collation/presentation of artifacts, and addressing queries and findings; and
6.2. Impairment and write-off exercise
Qualifications:
- With relevant Credit/Combank/Corbank/SME work experience. It will be a plus factor if they have experience in Remedial/Collection.
- With experience handling people.
- Resilient, resourceful, adaptive, open to handle difficult clients, complex and problematic accounts, and thrives under pressure.
- Team player, critical thinker, skilled in negotiation and financial analysis.
- Able to communicate effectively to internal and external parties.
- Keen on details, organized record keeping, fast and efficient worker, exhibits initiative and driven and goal oriented.
- Knowledgeable on Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
