Senior Relationship Manager - Shipping, Aviation & Transportation Finance

Our client is an established Asian bank with a long-standing presence in Singapore and a strong franchise supporting cross-border corporate clients throughout Asia. As part of its continued business expansion, the bank is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to drive business development and relationship coverage within the Shipping, Aviation and Transportation sectors.
This is a senior front-office opportunity for an accomplished banker with established industry relationships and a proven track record in originating and managing structured financing transactions within the transportation ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with shipping companies, aviation operators, transportation groups and related industry participants
- Originate new-to-bank business opportunities and expand existing client relationships
- Structure and market a full suite of corporate banking solutions, including:
- Bilateral and Syndicated Loans
- Asset-Backed Financing
- Vessel Financing
- Aviation Financing
- Working Capital Facilities
- Trade Finance
- Treasury & Foreign Exchange Solutions
- Lead client acquisition efforts and drive revenue generation across targeted sectors
- Work closely with Credit, Product, Risk and Operations teams to deliver tailored financing solutions
- Prepare and present credit proposals to internal stakeholders
- Monitor industry developments and identify emerging opportunities within the transportation sector
Requirements
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience
- Proven track record covering Shipping, Aviation and/or Transportation clients
- Strong understanding of structured finance, asset-backed lending and corporate banking products
- Demonstrated business development and client acquisition capabilities
- Experience managing large corporate, multinational or transportation-sector clients
- Familiarity with syndicated lending and cross-border financing transactions would be advantageous
- Strong credit, financial analysis and relationship management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin would be advantageous as the role involves regular interaction with Mandarin-speaking clients and overseas stakeholders, including the review and discussion of business, financial and credit-related documentation where such communication is conducted in Mandarin.
