- The successful candidate will be a technical leader, responsible for designing robust, scalable, and secure Linuxcentric solutions that meet complex client requirements and drive significant business value. This individual will translate business needs into technical architectures, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and contribute directly to our market dominance and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design & Leadership: Lead the design and development of complex, enterprise-grade Red Hat-based solutions, including Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ansible Automation Platform, and related cloud-native technologies, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and technical requirements.
- Technical Advisory & Pre-Sales Support: Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal sales teams, providing expert guidance, conducting technical presentations, workshops, and proof-ofconcepts to articulate the value of Red Hat solutions.
- Solution Rationalization & Strategy: Actively contribute to the ongoing product/technology rationalization efforts, identifying strategic Red Hat products and technologies that will drive Trend's cloud business, and developing architectural blueprints for their integration and offering.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends and maintain a deep understanding of different cloud platforms & industry trends, and implement & manage complex solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructures.
- Design hybrid, on-premises & cloud-based solutions to meet business requirements.
- Ensure the security and compliance of cloud solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices.
- Develop and maintain solution & design documentation & artifacts.
- Cost & Price Modeling for capex or opex requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate extensively with sales, professional services, managed services, and support teams to ensure seamless solution delivery, from pre-sales to postimplementation.
- Market & Technology Research: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging Red Hat technologies to ensure our solution offerings remain cutting-edge and differentiated.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Create comprehensive architectural documentation, design specifications, and best practice guides for Red Hat deployments.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: Provide technical mentorship to junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the team
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the Cloud Technology Group and company.
- Talent Acquisition and Development: Assist in recruitment and development of talent, ensuring the team has the skills, knowledge, experience and certification needed to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT architecture, with at least 3 years focused on designing and implementing solutions leveraging Red Hat technologies.
- Mandatory: Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) certification.
- Demonstrable experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), particularly in hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
- Proven experience with containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with enterprise networking, storage, and security concepts in cloud environments
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical solutions.
- Technical Acumen: Practical expertise in Red Hat technologies and a broad understanding the cloud computing ecosystem.
