Job Description
Product Development & Innovation
- Lead the development of new formulations across beverages, sauces, and flavor solutions
- Drive product innovation aligned with market trends and customer requirements
- Oversee recipe development, testing, validation, and product optimization
Application & Technical Support
- Lead product demonstrations, customer trials, and application testing in the technical center
- Collaborate closely with commercial teams to support customer projects and solution development
- Ensure products meet desired quality, performance, and cost targets
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop a team of experienced R&D professionals
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance management
- Foster a collaborative, innovation-driven team culture
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing to align R&D efforts with business priorities
- Support customer engagements and co-development initiatives
- Contribute to strategic planning for product portfolio expansion
R&D Operations & Governance
- Oversee lab operations, formulation processes, and documentation standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements
- Continuously improve R&D processes, timelines, and efficiency
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior R&D Manager Should Have
- Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 8-12+ years of experience in food R&D, ideally within beverages, sauces, or flavor systems
- Strong expertise in formulation, application, and product development
- Proven experience managing R&D teams or technical groups
- Strong collaboration skills with commercial teams and external stakeholders
