We are looking for senior quantity surveyor to become part of our site-based team at the Pasay Harbor City Project in Pasay City (Metro Manila, Philippines) overseeing the construction of a landmark reclamation project. The expected project duration is 3 years, and the position is initially for 12 months with a view to extend for the duration of the project. What you do as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
The senior quantity surveyor will be reporting to the Engineer's Representative on site. The senior quantity surveyor will be leading the quantity surveying of the works and support the contractual and commercial lead monitoring the program, cost, and contractual aspects of the project. The duties will include:
- assisting in the implementation of contractual processes as set out in the contract
- reviewing incoming correspondence and drafting appropriate contractual replies
- identifies project risks, suggests, and implements agreed avoidance and mitigation plans, and monitors risks
- analyzing current and expected progress of the project in terms of works completion and cost against the program, identifying issues, and providing solutions
- cost control & reporting, quantity take offs and estimating and formulating comprehensive Bill of Quantities in accordance with standard method of measurement
- prepare tender documents, manage tendering activities, evaluate proposals and prepare detailed tender reports with award recommendations
- track work progress, update cost-to-complete forecasts prepare commercial progress reports and cash flow histograms
- review progress billings and prepare payments certificates, verify supporting documents through field surveys, and site inspector reports
- assessment of variations and claims on the project including negotiating to close variations and final accounts, as well as analyzing and capturing impact on cost and time
- assist in contractual and commercial database maintenance and updating
- contract administration, contract drafting and review, compiling and filing, establishing tracking of critical contractual dates, milestones, renewal of bonds and insurances, etc.
- contributing to the completion of weekly, monthly, and other reports
- develop and maintain working relationships with client and contractor
- utilize software to calculate, record, track inventory, and estimates

The project involves dredging and reclamation works for the Pasay Harbor City Project in Pasay, the Philippines. Haskoning is the engineering consultancy firm of the project and is supervising the dredging and reclamation works undertaken by a contractor based on a FIDIC Construct Only type of contract. What you bring
As a senior quantity surveyor, you will supervise and work on the environmental aspects of the reclamation project. For this position, you need to have the following competencies/skills:
- minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or other relevant degree
- around 10+years of relevant work experience
- experience as senior quantity surveyor in both a construction management consultancy firm and a contractor
- deep practical knowledge knowledge and experience in internal standard form of contract (e.g., FIDIC Contracts)
- excellent knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)
- strong in record keeping
- analytical thinker and strong problem solver
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- team player, versatile, and energetic
- adept at working in a digital way
- proficient in Microsoft suite of applications
