What You'll Do
- Automation Development: Design, implement, and continuously maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts to support functional and regression testing across the product.
- Quality Assurance: Execute end-to-end software quality assurance activities, including reviewing requirements and technical design documents, and providing actionable feedback.
- Test Strategy: Create comprehensive, detailed, and well-structured test plans and test cases, prioritizing automation coverage.
- Agile Collaboration: Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to estimate, plan, and coordinate all QA activities.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and thoroughly report defects. Monitor and report on quality assurance metrics and identify risks related to quality or delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively research and stay updated with emerging automation testing tools, frameworks, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in our QA process.
What You'll Need
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) in a production environment.
- Automation: Fluency and hands-on experience in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Python.
- Testing: Strong knowledge and practical application of Agile Testing Methodologies, end-to-end Manual Functional Testing, and API Testing using standard tools/frameworks.
- Performance: Prior experience in designing and executing Performance Testing strategies.
- Databases: Ability to utilize database knowledge for backend data validation and test scenarios.
- Process: Strong grasp of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including monitoring and reporting on key metrics
Requirements
- Must be based in the Philippines, preferably in a major metro area such as Metro Manila, Cebu City, Davao City, or surrounding provinces.
- Must maintain a stable and reliable internet connection with speeds of at least 50 Mbps to ensure optimal performance in a remote work environment.
- Must be available to provide services during US or European business hours, as agreed in the service contract.
- Must be able to obtain an international passport and be open to occasional travel (Monetate may provide guidance on the passport application process if needed).
- Must operate as a registered independent contractor in compliance with Philippine laws.
Engagement Terms
- This role has no direct reports.
- The contractor will have autonomy to determine the methods, processes, and schedule for completing deliverables, subject to agreed-upon project milestones and deadlines.
- Compensation will be based on a fixed fee or hourly rate for services rendered, as outlined in the service agreement.
- The contractor is responsible for managing their own taxes, insurance, and compliance with local regulations.
