About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer with strong expertise in PYTHON backend development and LINUX systems to join our agile, remote-first engineering team.
You will build, scale, and maintain reliable backend services, APIs, and platform infrastructure while contributing to system architecture, automation, testing, and operational stability.
Work Setup & Schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using PYTHON and FastAPI.
- Build and optimize high-performance RESTful APIs.
- Develop clean, modular, and maintainable backend systems.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions.
- Manage and configure LINUX-based development and production environments.
- Perform LINUX server administration, shell scripting, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Containerize applications and environments using Docker.
- Implement infrastructure automation using Ansible.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Pytest.
- Troubleshoot backend, infrastructure, and production issues.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with Frontend, Product, and Infrastructure teams.
Required Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of professional PYTHON development experience.
- Strong expertise in PYTHON backend development.
- Hands-on experience building backend services using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Strong expertise in LINUX systems and environments.
- Hands-on experience with LINUX system administration, shell scripting, server configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible.
- Strong experience with automated testing frameworks such as Pytest.
- Solid understanding of scalable system design and distributed systems.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Nice to Have
- Experience with RabbitMQ or other message brokers.
- Experience with Pydantic for data validation and configuration.
- Experience with SQLAlchemy or similar ORM tools.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
