We are seeking a highly analytical, results-driven Senior Property Accountant to manage the complete accounting lifecycle for a fast-paced commercial real estate portfolio. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will serve as a key financial steward-leading monthly close procedures, executing complex CAM reconciliations, and delivering high-level variance analysis in full compliance with US GAAP. Operating 100% remotely on a US-aligned night shift, this role is designed for a self-motivated professional with extensive Yardi experience and commercial real estate expertise who thrives in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

Your Impact

• Financial Close & Statement Preparation: Lead the monthly close process and prepare complete monthly financial statement packages-including general ledger reviews, recurring and adjusting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and detailed P&L schedules with variance analysis.

• CAM & Operational Reconciliations: Perform and review technical Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, Owners Association (OA) reconciliations, and monthly bank account reconciliations.

• Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Management: Assist in reviewing annual budgets and re-forecasts, prepare monthly draws for operating and capital expenditures, and ensure timely payment of mortgages, real estate taxes, and property insurance.

• Lease & Capital Expenditure Analysis: Analyze lease commissions, tenant improvement allowances, and capital items for proper GL classification. Collaborate with property teams to analyze bad debt reserves and post necessary adjustments.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Property Management, and Asset Managers to review AP coding accuracy, resolve ledger anomalies, and streamline property operations.

• Independent Problem Solving: Execute complex reconciliations, manage special financial projects independently, and ensure all deliverables run smoothly from inception to completion.

What You Bring

• The Experience:5+ years of dedicated real estate/property accounting experience, with mandatory expertise in Commercial Real Estate.

• Software Mastery: Hands-on experience with Yardi is required. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.

• Accounting Standards: In-depth working knowledge of US GAAP reporting is required (IFRS reporting knowledge is a strong plus).

• Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical skills, sharp attention to detail, and a proven ability to handle complex reconciliations under tight deadlines.

• Personal Attributes: A results-driven team player who demonstrates personal responsibility, high responsiveness, and the initiative to work independently without direct supervision.

• Credentials:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
