About the Role

The Senior Project Manager is a proactive, target-driven, and self-motivated go-getter with a passion for development work and relevant experience in handling and executing development projects. The role will work as a part of ASSIST's Project Management Office to support ASSIST's efforts as a leading capacity development organization that works on sustainable projects to improve the lives of vulnerable communities and key target groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field(s) including, but not limited to, Social Science and Social Development courses.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in community development work, of which at least 3 years as a Project manager or an equivalent position.
  • Fluent spoken and written language skills in English and Tagalog are essential. Knowledge of other Philippine dialects is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation and interpersonal skills including relationship building. The ability to speak and articulate in a meeting is critical.
  • High level of initiative to work independently and self-motivated, but with essential teamwork skills.
  • Highly professional attitude, and is able to work in fast-paced environments and meet urgent deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative and Communication Functions

  • Work collaboratively along with other functions such as Acquisition, Contracting & Finance Management (OSG), Communication & Visibility (C&V), and other specific units including Creative Labs (CL) as directed by the PMO Lead.
  • Actively engage and maintain a sound working relationship with donors, partners, and beneficiaries during the conduct of projects.
  • Utilize tools, instruments, files and documents properly (project management, communication, task management) in the conduct of project management.

Project Management Functions

  • Manage the implementation and coordination of all activities in the identified project sites and initiate onsite interactions with target communities and local partners.
  • Mobilize communities and disseminate information about the project to promote community support.
  • Provide support in conducting baseline data collection and situational analysis.
  • Conduct training and capacity building initiatives.
  • Observe and maintain alignment of projects with the PMO process and framework.

Monitoring, Supervision and Evaluation (MSE) Functions

  • Prepare, draft, and finalize reports to be submitted to the donors and partners after careful review of the PMO Lead and PMO Director.
  • Participate in regular project review meetings (weekly/monthly) to review Key Result Areas (KRA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Collect data from the field in line with program indicators and submit regular updates, reports and case studies on success stories and lessons learned to the PMO Lead and PMO Director.
  • Submit timely reports for donors, for partners, and for the management.
  • Maintain suitable records and statistical information for management information requirements.
