About The Role

The Senior Project Management Officer – Transformation is responsible for overseeing and strengthening the governance, execution, and delivery of transformation initiatives across the organization. The role provides project management oversight, monitors project timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery performance, and ensures alignment with approved business objectives and stakeholder expectations. It works closely with delivery leads, demand managers, portfolio managers, senior leadership, and key stakeholders to support effective prioritization, resource coordination, issue escalation, and benefits realization. The role also drives the continuous improvement of project management practices, standards, tools, and documentation to improve delivery discipline, governance maturity, and successful implementation of transformation programs.

What You'll Do

  • Project Governance and Delivery Oversight
    • Oversees assigned transformation initiatives to ensure project goals, timelines, deliverables, and implementation plans are aligned with approved business objectives.
    • Monitors project progress from initiation to implementation and closure, ensuring proper governance, stakeholder alignment, and delivery discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Planning, Prioritization, and Resource Coordination
    • Collaborates with delivery leads, demand managers, portfolio managers, steering committees, and key stakeholders to support project planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
    • Facilitates alignment discussions to ensure project activities are properly sequenced, resourced, and coordinated across involved teams.
  • Timeline, Status, and Performance Monitoring
    • Reviews project timelines, delivery milestones, and status reports prepared by delivery teams.
    • Identifies delays, delivery issues, dependencies, or gaps in execution, and recommends adjustments to project plans, schedules, or work approaches as needed.
    • Provides updates and insights on project health and delivery performance.
  • Budget and Benefits Tracking
    • Monitors budget utilization of assigned projects and coordinates with relevant stakeholders to help ensure projects remain within approved budget parameters.
    • Supports the tracking of expected benefits, outcomes, and value realization based on approved business cases and transformation objectives.
  • Risk, Issue, and Escalation Management
    • Performs project risk assessment and supports the development and implementation of mitigation plans.
    • Tracks key risks, issues, dependencies, and concerns affecting project delivery.
    • Acts as a Level 1 escalation point for project-related concerns requiring PMO intervention, stakeholder alignment, or management attention.
  • Project Management Standards and Process Improvement
    • Supports the identification, implementation, and continuous improvement of project management processes, methodologies, tools, templates, guidelines, and standards.
    • Reviews existing PMO practices and recommends improvements to increase consistency, maturity, and effectiveness in project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management and Advisory
    • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with senior leadership, business stakeholders, delivery teams, governance bodies, and cross-functional partners.
    • Acts as a trusted advisor on project governance, delivery execution, risk management, and transformation implementation.
  • Complex Problem Solving and Decision Support
    • Applies functional knowledge, project management discipline, and understanding of interconnected workstreams to address complex delivery issues.
    • Recommends practical solutions, alternative approaches, or process adjustments that support successful delivery and improved stakeholder outcomes.
  • Change Advisory and Service Transition Support
    • Ensures proper review, documentation, and coordination of Change Advisory Board and Service Transition requirements, where applicable.
    • Supports readiness checks and transition requirements to ensure smooth implementation and handover of transformation initiatives.
  • Documentation, Reporting, and Compliance
    • Ensures project documentation, approvals, governance requirements, reports, and status updates are complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
    • Supports compliance with established PMO standards, project governance requirements, and internal documentation protocols.
What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Security, or other related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to15 years of progressive experience in Project/Program Management.
  • Managed cross-functional teams comprising Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Architects, Developers, Risk, Compliance, and Business stakeholders, driving effective coordination, dependency management, and issue resolution across concurrent initiatives.
  • Established project governance frameworks, executive reporting, portfolio dashboards.
  • Developed and maintained resource capacity plans, demand forecasts, and budget oversight mechanisms, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and effective management of CAPEX/OPEX investments across project portfolios
  • Master's degree (MBA, or equivalent) is preferred but not required
  • Executive Learning Certificate programs from reputable institutions. (AIM, INSEED, etc.) are preferred but not required
