Job Description

Role Summary

The Senior Production Manager plays a critical leadership role within the Client Delivery organization, overseeing the execution of all client deliverables across agency teams. Reporting to the VP for Client Delivery, this role ensures that delivery operations across multiple agencies and micro-agencies are timely, efficient, and consistently meet quality standards.

As the central execution lead, the Senior Production Manager manages Agency Managers across various project types. The role ensures operational alignment, delivery readiness, and seamless coordination with cross-functional partners. It also serves as the execution-side counterpart in discussions with internal departments and US-based stakeholders, translating strategy into action on the ground.

In addition to day-to-day delivery oversight, this role is responsible for project and client assignment, execution planning, and risk planning. The Senior Production Manager also leads innovation efforts within the execution domain, manages third-party vendors, and forms special operations teams to support high-complexity or high-value client engagements.

This is a pivotal position for ensuring that the agency structure performs as a cohesive, high-performing delivery engine that is adaptive, resilient, and always ready to meet evolving client needs.

  • Execution Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Act as the execution representative for the Client Delivery team in cross-functional discussions with internal departments (e.g., PMO, ERM, Advisory Services, Workiva Solutions).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for production operations with key US stakeholders, providing insight on timelines, performance risks, and capacity.
  • Align production capacity and team readiness with evolving client demands and seasonal workloads.
  • Agency Operations Management
    • Lead the day-to-day execution strategy by managing a team of Agency Managers across all types of projects (AR, Proxy,ESG)
    • Oversee the performance of micro-agency structures under each agency, ensuring delivery standards and project milestones are consistently met.
    • Ensure standardized workflows, service quality, and timely delivery across all agencies.
    • Partner with Agency Managers and functional leads to implement corrective actions and ensure learning loops are captured for continuous improvement.
    • Project & Client Assignment Oversight
      • Own the assignment of projects and client accounts to appropriate agencies and micro-agencies, based on capability, capacity, and specialization.
      • Coordinate with Agency Managers to balance project load, avoid bottlenecks, and anticipate seasonality or surge demand.
      • Ensure alignment between client expectations and delivery capabilities, providing oversight for reassignments or resource realignment as needed.
      • Execution Planning & Delivery Readiness
        • Translate strategic delivery plans and production schedules into actionable execution strategies across agencies.
        • Coordinate with Agency Managers and the ERM to assign experts (Platform experts, designers, specialists) to the right teams based on volume, timing, and technical needs.
        • Monitor workload distribution and proactively flag pipeline constraints, overcapacity issues, or skills mismatches.
        • Support workforce planning by recommending workforce and freelance activation during peak seasons or special project surges.
        • Innovation & Special Projects
          • Champion process innovation within the execution space, including the introduction of automation tools, pilot workflows, or technology-based enhancements.
          • Collaborate with PMO and Workiva teams to test and operationalize new technologies and project delivery models.
          • Lead or co-lead with PMO on strategic initiatives aimed at improving turnaround times, reducing friction in production workflows, or enabling 24/7 execution capacity.
          • Vendor and Third-Party Management
            • Serve as the operational lead in coordinating with vendors and offshore partners supporting delivery needs.
            • Ensure all third-party engagements are properly scoped, contracted, and compliant with delivery expectations.
            • Review and escalate vendor performance issues or recommend contract revisions as needed.
            • Quality Systems for Execution
              • Work in partnership with the PMO to design and uphold quality systems applicable to production execution.
              • Oversee adherence to delivery benchmarks and lead root-cause analysis for repeated issues in output quality or delivery timelines.
              • Promote a culture of executional excellence and accountability across agency teams.
              • Special Operations and High-Touch Client Support
                • Form and lead Special Operations Teams for sensitive, high-complexity, or high-volume clients requiring non-standard workflows or elevated engagement.
                • Coordinate cross-agency resource pooling, workflow customization, and dedicated team configurations tailored to these key accounts.
                • Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
                • Minimum of 7 years if experience managing complex production operations with at least 3 years in a senior role.
                • Experience in a printing or publishing company is preferred.
                • Fluent English required, both written and verbal. Additional Asian languages are an advantage.
                • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project), and advanced Excel skills required.
                • Willing to start immediately.
