Job Description

The Senior Product Lead – Maxicare Clinics is accountable for the end-to-end development, delivery, and in-market performance of assigned products or sub-portfolios within the Maxicare Clinics Business Unit, from ideation and design through implementation, launch, and post-launch optimization.

The role owns product outcomes, ensuring that products are customer-relevant, operationally executable, commercially viable, and compliant with internal governance and external regulatory requirements. The Senior Product Lead translates portfolio strategy into concrete product initiatives, leads cross-functional delivery, and ensures disciplined execution across the full product development lifecycle.

For Maxicare Clinics, the role focuses heavily on clinic-based and PRIMA products, ensuring tight alignment between product design, clinic operations, and member experience.

Specific Areas Of Accountability

  • Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle for assigned products, from approved concept through:
  • Product design and benefit structuring
  • Business case and commercial validation
  • System configuration and UAT
  • Launch readiness and rollout (including clinic staffing readiness, SOPs, training, space and capacity validation)
  • Post-launch monitoring and enhancement
  • Ensure that products are fully executable across systems, processes, channels, and operations prior to launch.
  • Product Design, Ideation & Market Fit
  • Lead product ideation and enhancement grounded in:
  • Customer insights and usage patterns
  • Market and competitor analysis
  • Operational feasibility and cost structures
  • For Maxicare Clinics, ensure PRIMA and clinic products are designed with:
  • Clear visit entitlements and utilization logic
  • Clinic capacity and operational constraints
  • Seamless member experience across PCC touchpoints
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
  • Commercial & Performance Accountability
  • Own accountability for product performance post-launch, including:
  • Uptake and adoption
  • Utilization and cost behavior
  • Profitability and sustainability
  • Monitor performance against approved assumptions and initiate corrective actions (benefit refinement, pricing review, positioning changes, service flow) where gaps are identified.
  • Partner with Clinics, Research, Marketing, Actuarial, Finance, and Operations to validate ongoing product viability.
  • Product Delivery & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional execution with Actuarial, Operations, Technology, Clinics, Medical, Sales, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Experience.
  • Ensure product intent is correctly translated into:
  • System rules and configurations
  • Operational workflows
  • Sales and customer-facing materials
  • Act as the primary product decision-maker for scope, sequencing, and trade-offs within assigned initiatives.
  • Regulatory, Governance & Documentation
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of:
  • Product contracts, membership agreements, and documentation
  • Government permits and accreditations (e.g., DOH, PhilHealth)
  • Internal approvals and governance checkpoints
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation across the full product lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to internal product governance frameworks and standards.
  • People Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead a team of Product Officers, Senior Product Officers, and Product Analysts responsible for individual products or components.
  • Translate portfolio and product priorities into clear ownership, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Set clear expectations on end-to-end ownership and delivery discipline
  • Coach team members in product thinking, execution rigor, and stakeholder management
  • Provide regular feedback, guidance, and escalation support
  • Build a high-performing product team capable of independently owning products from concept to post-launch optimization.
  • Continuous Improvement & Capability Building
  • Identify gaps in product development processes, tools, or standards.
  • Drive improvements that reduce cycle time, rework, and execution risk.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Product Development ways of working across the organization.

Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree holder in BS Business Administration, Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics and related courses
  • At least 6 years experience in insurance, healthcare or similar experience with key focus on product and project management.
  • At least 3–5 years leading end-to-end product initiatives and managing teams
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic project management tools
  • Prior experience in regulated industries is an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
