Job Description

The Senior Procurement Manager for Indirect Materials is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for indirect spend categories, including facilities, logistics, utilities, IT, marketing services, professional services, maintenance supplies, office equipment, and other non-production materials. The role ensures cost optimization, supplier performance, contract compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement while supporting business objectives.

Strategic Procurement

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect materials and services.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings, process efficiencies, and value creation.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and spend optimization.

Supplier Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, service levels, and commercial terms.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues and ensure business continuity.

Contract & Commercial Management

  • Lead contract negotiations to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage contract renewals and supplier service agreements.
  • Monitor supplier obligations and contract performance.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with internal departments including Operations, HR, Finance, Marketing, IT, Engineering, and Facilities.
  • Align procurement initiatives with organizational goals and departmental requirements.
  • Provide procurement guidance and recommendations to business leaders.

Cost & Budget Management

  • Develop annual procurement savings targets and monitor achievements.
  • Track and manage procurement expenditures within approved budgets.
  • Conduct spend analysis and identify cost reduction opportunities.

Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess supply risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Support sustainability and supplier diversity initiatives where applicable.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop procurement personnel.
  • Establish procurement KPIs and monitor team performance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • MBA or professional procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM, CPP, PMP) is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience.
  • At least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong experience handling indirect procurement categories and enterprise-wide sourcing projects.
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, logistics, or related industries preferred.
