ABOUT THE ROLE
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate preferably may have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience gained in a professional services/financial institution/insurance environment. Demonstrated experience in reconciliations, accounts receivable, debtor management, and financial transaction processing. Experience reviewing and validating the work of others to ensure quality and compliance standards are met. Experience handling client queries, stakeholder communications, and issue resolution in a professional environment. Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives, procedure updates, and operational change projects is and advantage. Previous experience coaching, training, onboarding, or providing guidance to team members is highly desirable.

- Competent in Microsoft Office, at least intermediate MS Excel required.
- Able to execute sets of agreed processes to ensure efficient, timely and accurate information delivery.
- Relevant experience in insurance, broking and/or underwriting accounts processing, and credit control/debtor management is preferred.
- Experience in using INSIGHT, Winbeat and other similar broking and underwriting system will be an advantage.
- Exposure to project delivery, transition activities, process migration, change management, or continuous improvement initiatives would be advantageous.
KEY responsibilities of the role
Efficient and timely delivery of broking system processing:
- Daily client receipt processing (via file uploads or individual manual payments) and trust account reconciliation.
- Regular payments to insurers, authorised representatives, and client refunds.
- Stamp duty payment and lodgements.
- Processing income and GST drawings.
- Month end close and report running process for multiple brokers.
- Support accounting team on trust account audit requirements.
- Perform reviews and ensure outputs are of high quality and aligned with trust account compliance requirements.
- Attend to client queries and ad hoc requests, as relevant.
Process Ownership, Team Support, Escalation and Client Support
- Act as the process owner for assigned broker processing and administrative processes.
- Participate in training and upskilling initiatives.
- Review and validate completed tasks before final processing where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and quality standards.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for client queries and operational issues.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve concerns efficiently.
Process Improvements, Projects and Change Management Support:
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and controls.
- Review and maintain process documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in finance-wide projects and change initiatives.
- Support onboarding of new clients - define activities/tasks, timeline, systems and accesses, capacity assessment and resource allocation, etc., and monitor progress.
- Support implementation of operational improvement and best practices.
