About this Position The Senior Pre-Press Designer is responsible for ensuring that all artwork is technically prepared and optimized for mass production printing processes. This role requires deep expertise in pre-press operations, including trapping, color management, and interpreting various printing technologies. The designer will configure technical settings to accommodate print parameters and prepare files for offset and flexographic printing, ensuring alignment between approved artwork and final print output.
What Youll Do
- Prepare print-ready files by following established procedures aligned with printer specifications and brand guidelines.
- Utilize Esko plugins and software tools to execute prepress tasks.
- Perform color separation, retouching, and proofing to ensure color accuracy.
- Review and approve vendor print proofs for production readiness.
- Quality gatekeeping for print feasibility and consistency of art by checking design with printer specifications, historical data and print tendencies
- Do quality checking, queue management, workflow coordination and admin duties
- Participate in root cause analysis and process improvement efforts implemented by the team
- Package and release files based on transfer procedure (format, email, DAM, etc)
- Maintain archive of current and historical artworks on server.
- Manage time and priorities as per schedule
- Provide timely feedback and raise concerns and updates on requests to stakeholders
- Collaborate with team lead, process experts and designers on huddle and meetings
- Ensure timely delivery based on SLA - Release files to internal and external stakeholders
