About the Position:
The Senior Power Systems Engineer will lead power system studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, Powerfactory, and Hypersim. Experience with end-to-end grid connections and compliance with national electricity rules is essential. You will mentor junior staff and ensure efficient project controls and cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- Minimum 8 years experience in full end-to-end delivery of multi-discipline complex high voltage grid connection projects
- Background in an engineering design, build & commission operating environment
- Strong HSEQ focus and leadership capability demonstrated by high levels of team passion and commitment for delivery and achieving strong results in areas of commercial performance and customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels
- Proficient multi-tasker with a friendly, positive, can-do attitude
- Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia and RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) qualification or desire to obtain
- Experience using PSCAD and PSS/E Software
- Experience working in an Australian firm
