Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Automation Design

● Design and implement scalable, resilient, and automated platform architectures across

on-premises enterprise datacenters, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform

(GCP).

● Lead the design of infrastructure automation pipelines, configuration management

workflows, and environment orchestration using an automation-and-optimization

approach.

Configuration Management & Deployment

● Develop, standardise, and manage infrastructure playbooks, roles, and automation

workflows using Ansible and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (Automation

Controller / AAP).

● Oversee end-to-end on-premises infrastructure deployments, hybrid cloud integrations,

and migration strategies.

● Manage structured configuration datasets using YAML, XML, JSON, and environment-

specific parameters across disparate platforms.

Scripting & Tooling

● Write production-grade, maintainable scripts and tooling primarily in Python, supported

by extensive Bash and legacy/specialized Perl scripting for automation, integration, and

operational tasks.

● Maintain, refactor, and modernize legacy automation scripts (Perl/Bash) into modern

Python and Ansible-driven solutions.

Operating Systems & System Administration

● Provide deep technical expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration,

kernel tuning, security hardening, storage configuration, and troubleshooting.

● Ensure platform security standards, compliance auditing, and system updates are

automated seamlessly across large server fleets.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

● Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex platform, deployment, and

infrastructure issues.

● Lead and assist project teams through architectural design reviews, technical planning,

and task execution.

● Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in automation best practices, clean code/scripting

standards, and modern platform engineering principles.

Required Qualifications & Experience

● Experience: 6+ years in Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering, with

strong experience in a Senior Individual Contributor capacity.

● Linux Expertise: Expert-level administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

operating systems.

● Automation Platform: Deep hands-on experience with Ansible and Red Hat Ansible

Automation Platform (AAP) for enterprise configuration management and

orchestration.

● Scripting Languages: Strong proficiency in Python (primary modern scripting), Bash

(system automation), and Perl (legacy script refactoring and system automation).

● Data Formats: Advanced familiarity working with YAML, XML, JSON, and structured

configuration schemas.

● Cloud & On-Premises Experience:

○ Hands-on experience architecting and operating On-Premises datacenter

deployments.

○ Demonstrated hands-on experience provisioning and managing infrastructure in

Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Basic Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

● Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation.

● Experience with enterprise CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure

DevOps).

● Knowledge of infrastructure provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform) and containerization

ecosystems (Docker, Podman, OpenShift/Kubernetes).
