Job Summary
Senior Planning Engineer is to support and assist the Planning Manager and the Project Team with information to execute the project in time and within budget allocated.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop pre-construction proposal / bid schedule. Prepares estimates and forecasts during the life cycle of the project, responsible for reporting schedule deliverables to the project team and Operations Planning Manager;
- Detail the schedule based on site's present condition / workability and generate look-ahead schedule;
- Generate productivity reports;
- Generate Weekly and Monthly progress reports;
- Prepare and maintain the Master Schedule with input from project team and stakeholders;
- Schedule and update: Manpower and Equipment deployment; Schedule with S-Curve; and Acceleration Schedule;
- Perform schedule analysis for change order and claims;
- Develop acceleration schedule with resource and cost; extension of time;
- Establish resource requirements and coordinate with Operations Planner;
- Develop mitigation with catch-up plan;
- Provide pre-operation plans and schedule materials;
- Provide close-out presentation materials;
- Assists in the development of standard sequences of work, activity descriptions, durations, etc.;
- Capable of debugging schedule logic. Identify part / process that causes delay;
- Capable of integrating purchasing and procurement into schedule;
- Capable of integrating various scheduling tools from P6 EPPM to Oracle Project Management, or to Sychro 4D Planning;
- Provide and prepare data needed for Earned Value Management and Resource Management into a Data Analytics Programme.
Job Qualifications
Educational Attainment: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferably Licensed Engineer
Skills: Understanding in project planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar
Understanding and background in construction; project supervision; planning and scheduling
Experience: 3-6 years experience in project planning or scheduling
