Senior PHP Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain acustom PHP-based application, primarily usingvanilla PHPwith a custom framework.
• Work withMariaDB 10.6+, optimising queries and database interactions for performance and scalability.
• Implement and maintainStripe payment integrations, handling subscriptions, one-time payments, and refunds.
• Develop and managecron jobsfor scheduled tasks such as automated emails, data processing, and system maintenance.
• Work withJSON-based APIsfor data exchange and third-party integrations.
• Develop and manageemail handlingsystems, including transactional and notification emails.
• UtilisejQuery and other JavaScript librariesfor dynamic content updates and frontend interactions.
• Collaborate with the frontend team usingFigmafor UI structure and layout references.
• UseGit for version control, including push, pull, branching, and proper versioning best practices.
• Communicate effectively with the team viaDiscordand manage development tasks throughTrello.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of PHP development experience, with strong proficiency invanilla PHP.
• Familiarity withCursor.ai editorfor efficient coding and workflow. Other AI code editor tools experience are accepted.
• Strong understanding ofMariaDB 10.6+, query optimisation, and database schema design.
• Experience integrating and managingStripe paymentswithin applications.
• Expertise incron jobsfor automation and scheduled processes.
• Hands-on experience withJSON data structuresand API integrations.
• Proficiency inemail handling, including sending, receiving, and processing emails programmatically.
• Strong skills injQueryand other JavaScript libraries.
• Solid experience withGit, including best practices for team collaboration and versioning.
• Ability to work in ateam environment, collaborating with another developer to complete the project.
• Experience usingFigma for design referenceandTrello for task management.
• Comfortable working in anagile, fast-paced environmentand managing multiple development tasks.
