Your Role Purpose & Objective
As Senior Performance Marketing Specialist, you play a critical part in the acquisition marketing strategy at hipages. The role requires a self-driven, data-driven individual, with a specialisation in SEM/PPC and preferred experience in other digital channels (Paid Social, Programmatic) to help drive growth across both sides of the Homeowner-Tradie marketplace. This position involves strategic direction and day to day ad account management, optimisation, reporting and insights.
We are seeking a self-driven candidate who takes initiative and proactively generates optimisation and test ideas (CRO Lead & rest of team for brainstorming). The ideal individual will possess strong analytical skills to build compelling business cases using available data and vertical knowledge that will form part of onboarding.
You have keen interest in staying up to date on latest marketing innovations and trends,, being a role model and mentor for junior team members, and having a curious mind to test new theories, try new adtech vendors to increase conversions to aid overall business growth. You will not be alone in this endeavour as the team already works to this way of working.

Your Experience
- Strong knowledge of Paid Search. Preferred knowledge of Paid Social, Display, App campaigns.
- 5+ years Google Ads experience
- Experience working alongside CRO & analytics teams
- Preferred: Online marketplace or subscription business experience

Skill Competencies
- Google Ads, Microsoft Bing, Meta Ads working knowledge
- Advanced Google Analytics skills (or equivalent)
- Budget & ad scenario forecasting
- Basic business acumen: financial year budget and target setting, quarterly forecasting.
- Intermediate Excel and data analysis skills
- Preferred: Data visualisation tool experience such as Tableau.
- Preferred: Basic Salesforce reporting experience
- Preferred: A/B creative testing and conversion rate optimisation is desirable but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on optimisation of our performance marketing activity to meet / exceed targets
- Work with the performance marketing team to execute and report primarily on our Consumer SEM campaigns, however also assist with our Tradie SEM campaigns as required
- Utilise our SEM accounts to drive improved marketplace efficiency
- Support the Performance Lead in optimising Paid Social and App Install campaigns.
- Keep up to date with performance marketing best practices and strategies
- Help suggest new A/B tests, messaging, features, user experiences, etc. that could improve the results of our performance marketing activity
- Contribute to other team projects and initiatives as needed, remaining flexible
- Mentor, assist and be a role model to junior members of the performance marketing team
