Job Summary
We are seeking a Sr. Payroll Specialist with strong hands-on Dayforce expertise to manage accurate, compliant, and timely payroll across the US, Canada, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore. This role is an Individual Contributor who will own end-to-end payroll processing, from inputs and calculations through validation, reconciliation, reporting, and finalization, while partnering with HR and Finance teams across APAC, US and Canada.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented payroll expert and problem solver who can independently manage multiple payroll cycles, navigate country-specific requirements, and leverage Dayforce to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end multi-country payroll across US, Canada and APAC including payroll inputs, calculations, variable pay, deductions, benefits, leave, terminations, and final pay.
- Process and validate payroll, prepare payroll reports, support month-end, year-end, audit requirements, financial reconciliations, and finalization, and ensure all payroll deadlines are met.
- Serve as the Dayforce Payroll SME, managing payroll data, pay groups, earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, reporting, and system validations.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and system issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Support Dayforce testing, system changes, upgrades, releases, integrations, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax, statutory, and labor requirements across the US, Canada, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.
- Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate with HR, tax advisors, and employees as needed.
- Provide timely, professional, and confidential payroll support to employees and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation, controls, and records to support compliance, audit readiness, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience in multi-country payroll, ideally across the US, Canada, Philippines, Malaysia, and/or Singapore.
- Hands-on Dayforce Payroll expertise is mandatory, including payroll processing, calculations, previews, audits, reporting and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of payroll taxes, statutory deductions, benefits, payroll accounting, and compliance.
- Advanced Excel and payroll data analysis skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee and compensation information with discretion and integrity.
