How you'll make an impact...Own the full payroll cycletimesheets to STP lodgementfor complex, award-driven Australian payrolls in Employment Hero / KeyPay. You will manage a portfolio of clients and be responsible for every employee being paid correctly and on time, every run; zero compliance breaches.
We're looking for someone who thrives in operational detail, leads with accountability, and is hungry to build a best-in-class payroll service.
What You'll Be Doing...End-to-End Processing
- Run the full pay cycle in KeyPayfrom timesheets to STP lodgementhitting every cut-off and pay date
Terminations
- Calculate redundancies, ETPs and leave in lieu; apply correct tax & STP 2 codes
Statutory Compliance
- Keep payroll fully compliantSTP, payroll-tax, WorkCover, FBT data and legislative watch
Superannuation Processing
- Calculate SG, salary-sacrifice & RESC; lodge batches
Leave Management
- Track all leave types; keep balances accurate and post monthly journals
Payroll Tax
- Register entities, calculate state payroll-tax liabilities, lodge monthly/annual returns, reconcile to GL and pay on time
Child-Support
- Apply deductions and liaise with Services Australia for on-time remittance
Strategic Collaboration
- Act as technical SME in our shift toward a more scalable marketplace payroll model, guiding the transition with expertise.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Service teams to improve workflows and unlock future growth.
- Partner with leadership to shape the future direction of payroll delivery at Visory.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has...
- 7+ years Australian payroll across modern awards / EAs
- Power-user of Employment Hero / KeyPay (rules engine, custom GL, STP 2)
- Expert knowledge: award compliance, payroll tax (all states), super, portable LSL, workers comp, FBT
- Exposure to HRIS / Time and Attendance integrations (Tanda, Shiftcare, BambooHR) desirable
- Clear, confident Englishable to translate payroll jargon into plain language for customers & stakeholders
Bonus Points If You...
- Have experience transitioning payroll teams to marketplace or outsourced service delivery models.
- Have implemented payroll tech or led platform enhancement initiatives that improved efficiency and quality.
- Have worked in high-growth or startup environments where you've built processes from the ground up.
