Job Overview:
- The Payroll Officer will support the Finance team in the end-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll for employees across Australia. The role will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain employee records, manage payroll queries and termination payments, and support compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

- 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday; work onsite for the first 2 weeks only
- Required onsite during monthly and quarterly meetings and when required by the manager/client

- MAKATI OFFICE: 22F Tower 1, One Ayala Corporate Center, Ayala Ave., Makati City
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll, including data validation, approvals, and finalisation
- Generating new hire records
- Maintaining employee records
- Managing and reconciling termination payments, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
- Preparing and reviewing payroll calculations such as bonuses, remuneration adjustments, and backpays based on business requests
- Working closely with People & Culture, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve queries
- Monitoring and managing the payroll inbox, responding to employee queries in a timely and professional manner, and escalating complex issues as needed
- Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures and contributing to process improvements
- Carrying out administrative payroll and other ad hoc requirements
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Non- Negotiable Qualifications:
- Education: BS Accountancy graduate or any finance-related course
- Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years of Australian payroll experience, ideally with a solid understanding of payroll processes
- Industry Exposure: Payroll / Finance
- Technical Skills: End-to-end payroll processing, payroll data validation, employee record maintenance, termination payments, payroll calculations, reconciliations, and payroll administration
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, confidentiality, organisation, proactive approach, problem-solving, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Accounting System/ Software experience or knowledge: Payroll systems and software; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Certificates or Licenses: CPA or non-CPA
- Language Requirements: Strong written and verbal English skills
- Others: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, respond to payroll queries professionally, maintain confidentiality, and comply with relevant payroll legislation and internal policies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Relevant qualification in Payroll, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
- Experience processing payroll in a medium to large organisation preferred
- Industry Exposure: experience supporting payroll across multiple Australian states preferred
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, termination payments, bonuses, remuneration adjustments, and backpay calculations
- Soft Skills: Customer-focused, adaptable, eager to learn, and committed to continuous improvement
