Position Summary:
This position has minimum supervision. This person is responsible for processing and supervising periodic payroll accurately and timely. This position possesses a strong working knowledge of payroll wages, hour laws, and serves as a subject matter expert for the team. This position requires interaction with employees on all levels of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acquires and retains in-depth working knowledge of end-to-end payroll process for Philippines and India to independently research and resolve payroll issues.
- This position is responsible for all payroll analysis, calculations, and processing.
- This includes overtime pay, basic wage, benefits, 13th month pay and tax annualization.
- Trains staff on PayAsia/Deel's portal functions and operating procedures.
- Directly responsible for supervising one payroll analyst and three project-hire positions.
- Responsible for preparing and reconciling timekeeping report including journal entries.
- Oversees corporate payroll action forms, including but not limited to calculating retroactive payments, salary changes, promotions, new hires and termination.
- Responsible for analyzing payments, processing, and reporting statutory remittances to government agencies. In addition to processing JE for biweekly payrolls; (includes reporting salary changes; employee information changes and any other permanent changes).

Financial Responsibilities
- Responsible for the meticulous reconciliation of all payroll entries with the company's general ledger.
- She must ensure that all payroll liabilities, such as accrued wages, taxes, and benefits, are accurately recorded, balanced, and reconciled before month-end and year-end closes.
- Prepares various financial reports for internal and external audits, providing a clear picture of payroll-related finances.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or equivalent from a four-year college; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of payroll experience in large scale operations with supervisory responsibilities.
- Knowledge of payroll processes (reconciliations and general ledger assignments); SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.
