Senior OutSystems Developer

Job Description

Your Role:

We're looking for a motivated OutSystems Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you'll work closely with experienced developers and contribute to building, maintaining, and enhancing mobile and web applications. You'll be involved in all stages of the development lifecycle, from coding and debugging to testing and deployment, while gaining valuable exposure to modern development practices and tools.

You'll report directly to the OutSystems Tech Lead, collaborating daily with other developers, testers, and analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.

As an OutSystems Engineer, you will:

. Understand and document business and functional requirements of the project
. Prepare technical specification and technical analysis documents as per the requirements
. Create technical designs for application development and have them reviewed by the technical architect before development
. Manage project communications
. Analyse and translate requirements into design using established design standards and tools
. Clarify ambiguous or conflicting requirements and ensure changes are documented and tracked using Azure DevOps/TFS or JIRA
. Identify performance issues, slow queries, and recommend improvement approaches
. Perform integrations with existing systems to ensure a smooth and sustainable transition to OutSystems
. Deliver high-quality web and mobile application development using OutSystems and .NET platforms
. Conduct peer code reviews and collaborate with QA to ensure completeness and quality of deliverables
. Perform defect fixes, root cause analysis, and ensure fixes are tested before retesting
. Provide technical support during system integration and user acceptance testing
. Manage Azure Pipelines for end-to-end deployment, including build and release pipelines
. Create release items and provide production artifacts
. Set up test environments and deploy builds across different environments
. Create and configure OutSystems cloud and on-premise environments
. Provide production deployment and release support
. Analyse production issues and implement resolutions
. Drive continuous enhancements and suggest improved solutions
. Monitor application issues, logs, and perform server and database health checks when required
