As a Senior Oracle Consultant, you will be the bridge between technical excellence and business efficiency. You won't just be maintaining systems; you will be the architect of optimization. Your goal is to help our clients extract maximum ROI from their Oracle investment by streamlining workflows, enhancing performance, and implementing underutilized features. For this specific role, specialization preferred is not only financial but also operational, with focus on Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory: Conduct deep-dive assessments of client business processes to identify optimization gaps within their Oracle ecosystem.
Performance Tuning: Diagnose and resolve complex system bottlenecks. You'll be responsible for ensuring high availability, scalability, and speed.
Costing and COGS Optimization (Preferably in a SaaS & Technology environment):
- Revenue/COGS Matching: Configure and optimize the COGS Recognition concurrent processes to ensure that COGS is recognized proportionately with revenue (matching principle), specifically handling Deferred COGS accounts.
- Landed Cost Management (LCM): Implement and tune Oracle LCM to provide clients with full visibility into True Costincorporating freight, insurance, duties, and handling fees into item costs.
- Valuation Methods: Advise and implement appropriate costing methods (Standard, Average, FIFO, or LIFO) based on client business models to optimize tax and profit reporting.
- SLA Customization: Utilize Subledger Accounting (SLA) to customize accounting entries for complex supply chain transactions, ensuring granular reporting for COGS and inventory variances.
Feature Implementation: Lead the rollout of new Oracle modules and features, ensuring they are configured to meet specific business KPIs.
Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders, providing roadmaps for digital transformation and long-term system health.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle applications (specifically Oracle EBS). Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Cost Management, Inventory (INV), Purchasing (PO), and Order Management (OM).
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science are preferred.
- Technical Depth: Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle specialized tools (e.g., OIC, ADF, or BI Publisher). 60% Functional (Process Design/Setup) and 40% Technical (SQL, PL/SQL, SLA, RICEW).
- Accounting Fluidity: Deep understanding of the Deferred COGS flow introduced in R12 and the reconciliation between SCM and the General Ledger (GL).
- Problem Solving: A proven track record of taking a legacy or underperforming Oracle environment and flipping it into a high-performance asset.
- Communication: The ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders without losing the why behind the technology.
- Certification: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certifications are highly preferred. Being a CPA is a plus.
- Industry: Strong familiarity with SaaS and technology operating environments, including subscription-driven revenue streams and integrated revenue and COGS frameworks.
