Job Description

The Senior Operations Specialist is responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing Privileged Access Management (PAM) operations with a primary focus on CyberArk solutions. This role ensures the security, availability, and compliance of privileged accounts across the organization's technology landscape. The position works closely with Information Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to maintain operational excellence, reduce security risks, and support regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in CyberArk administration, identity security operations, access governance, incident resolution, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

CyberArk Administration & Operations

  • Administer, maintain, and support CyberArk PAM environments, including:
  • Enterprise Password Vault (EPV)
  • Privileged Session Manager (PSM)
  • Central Policy Manager (CPM)
  • Privileged Threat Analytics (PTA)
  • Identity Security Platform Components
  • Configure and manage safes, platforms, privileged accounts, and access policies.
  • Perform account onboarding, password rotation, reconciliation, and monitoring activities.
  • Manage CyberArk upgrades, patches, integrations, and platform maintenance.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of CyberArk infrastructure.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of privileged accounts and access entitlements.
  • Support risk assessments, internal audits, and external audit requests.
  • Implement security controls and PAM best practices to reduce privileged access risks.
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents related to privileged accounts.

Service Operations

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for CyberArk and PAM-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex operational incidents and perform root cause analysis.
  • Manage incident, problem, and change management activities following ITIL practices.
  • Develop operational procedures, knowledge articles, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to ensure seamless PAM integration.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement process automation opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and metrics related to privileged access management.
  • Recommend security and operational improvements based on industry best practices.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Information Security, Audit, Compliance, and Risk Management teams.
  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on CyberArk and PAM solutions.
  • Support project implementations and enterprise security initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Operations, Information Security, Identity Management, or Cybersecurity.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience administering CyberArk solutions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale PAM environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) concepts.

Certifications Required:

  • CyberArk Defender Certification (formerly CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer or equivalent current certification)

Preferred:

  • CyberArk Sentry Certification
  • CyberArk Guardian Certification
  • CyberArk PAM Administration Certification
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent security certifications

Work Schedule

Employees will be expected to adhere to a flexible hybrid work schedule, with a required presence in the office for 1 day per week, allowing for customization of work hours within a specified morning or mid-shift time frame.
