Are you a senior network security engineer who thrives at the intersection of hands-on technical delivery, customer advocacy, and project work We're looking for someone who can operate as both a trusted customer champion and a lead engineer — someone equally comfortable deep inside a Palo Alto firewall policy or presenting a security roadmap to an enterprise customer.

This is a genuinely varied role with no two days the same — and a rare opportunity to work across managed services, professional services delivery, and pre-sales in a single position.

The Role

You'll sit within our Global Networking & Security Services team, acting as the senior technical escalation point and technical advocate for a portfolio of enterprise customers. Your time splits roughly as follows:

• 45% — Professional Services project delivery (NGFW deployments, migrations, SASE/SSE onboarding, SD-WAN)
• 45% — Level 4 Managed Services support (senior escalation, RCA, customer reviews)
• 10% — Pre-sales support (solution scoping, architecture validation)

The technical scope is 70% network security and 30% core networking, reflecting the reality that great security engineering requires a strong network foundation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Serving as the final escalation point for complex NGFW and network security incidents across Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet environments
• Designing, deploying, and migrating enterprise firewall solutions including Panorama, FortiManager, Prisma Access, and FortiSASE
• Acting as a technical champion for allocated customers — translating complex findings into business-relevant outcomes during reviews and escalations
• Advising on security hardening, Zero Trust, firewall policy rationalisation, and SASE/SSE adoption pathways
• Supporting SD-WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi engagements where security and network infrastructure intersect
• Bridging Managed Services and Professional Services teams through knowledge transfer, architecture alignment, and post-project handovers
• Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers across NGFW platforms and networking disciplines
• Contributing to pre-sales scoping sessions to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and operationally supportable

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• 7+ years in a Managed Services Provider or Systems Integrator environment, focused on network security
• Deep, proven hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks (PA-Series, Panorama, PAN-OS, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, WildFire) and Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiOS, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSASE, Security Fabric)
• Solid working knowledge of enterprise routing & switching, SD-WAN (Silver Peak / Aruba EdgeConnect or Fortinet), and Wi-Fi (Aruba, Meraki)
• Strong customer-facing skills — confident at both the technical and business level - PCNSE and/or FCSS / NSE 7 certified (or working toward).

Advantageous: - Experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA or other SASE/SSE platforms - Cisco CCNP/CCIE Security or Enterprise - Cloud networking certifications (AWS, Azure)
