About the Role
We are seeking a Network Engineer to support and enhance our managed network services, with a strong focus either on SD-WAN, Zscaler or Juniper Mist.
This role goes beyond traditional Network monitoring and is centered on proactive network optimization, advanced troubleshooting, and continuous service improvement across customer environments. You will act as a key technical contributor in maintaining reliable, scalable, and high-performing connectivity solutions.
Work Set-up: 100% Work from home
Work Schedule: Mid to Night Shift (9-hour shift falls within 3:00 PM – 4:00 AM PH Time)
On-Call: Reactive on-call support as required for high-priority security or cloud incidents
What You'll Do (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Diagnose and solve problems and incidents with limited supervision and within SLAs.
- Monitor ticket queues, multitask, and prioritise work by shifting focus as and when required.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, ID root cause and escalate when appropriately.
- Implement network changes and service improvements on customer's equipment as required.
- Work closely with the NOC team to resolve complex problems.
- Administer and maintain customer infrastructure via change control.
- Perform RMAs, software upgrades and patch management, for several vendors.
- Create technical documents, diagrams, and SOPs whilst maintaining the company's knowledge base.
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, access rights and inventory.
- Support our Services delivery function by generating appropriate reporting.
- Working with other areas of the business to support the deployment of new products or tools.
- Mentoring Junior members of staff
What You Bring (Skills, Qualifications or Experience)
- Certification: MUST be CCNP certified with an ACTIVE certification status.
- Advanced Networking: Deep technical understanding of Switching, Routing, BGP, VRFs, QoS, Multicast, Subnetting and IP addressing protocols.
- Service Background: Experience in high-pressure, low-latency environments such as Media Broadcasting or Finance.
- Experience upgrading firmware on diverse infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points (APs).
- Process Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL best practices and incident management systems such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or HaloITSM.
- Soft Skills: Customer-centric approach with the ability to communicate complex technical security issues to diverse stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with Azure ExpressRoute and AWS Direct Connect.
- Operational knowledge of Zscaler, Juniper Mist or SD-WAN technologies.
