Senior Network Engineer
Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of ECLARO's global core network infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and protection of the company's network systems across all operational regions, including the United States and the Philippines.
The Senior Network Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in network architecture and security, working closely with IT leadership, infrastructure teams, and compliance stakeholders to support business continuity, performance optimization, and regulatory alignment.
Strategic Planning and Organizational Development
. Acts as a technical advisor and contributor to the VP of IT and other senior IT leaders on matters related to network infrastructure and security.
. Participates in the development and execution of the company-wide technology and security roadmap, with a focus on network resilience and scalability.
. Supports the continuous improvement of network-related processes, tools, and controls to align with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 certification requirements.
. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure network architecture supports business objectives, client expectations, and compliance mandates.
. Provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior IT and infrastructure staff, fostering a culture of operational excellence and security awareness.
Operational Job Responsibilities
. Designs, configures, and maintains core network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems across ECLARO's global environment.
. Monitors network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and service disruption.
. Implements and manages network security protocols, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, access controls, and encryption standards.
. Conducts regular vulnerability assessments and partners with the Information Security team to remediate risks and enforce security policies.
. Maintains documentation of network architecture, configurations, and change history in accordance with ECLARO's Change Control Policy.
. Participates in incident response efforts related to network outages or security breaches, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
. Supports the onboarding of new technologies and services, including cloud-based networking solutions (e.g., Azure, M365), ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent preferred.
. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with demonstrated expertise in both infrastructure and security.
. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
. Experience with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance frameworks.
. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
. Strong communication and documentation skills ability to collaborate effectively across teams and geographies.
